Adjusting the HÅG Capisco — step by step
1. Adjust the seat height
Use the rear lever on the left side underneath the seat. Adjust the chair height until your feet are firmly supported on the floor, a foot ring, or a footrest. Your arms should rest comfortably on the desk without lifting your shoulders.

2. Adjust the seat depth
Use the front lever on the left side to adjust the seat depth. Make sure you sit upright with your lower back well supported against the backrest.

3. Adjust the backrest height
Pull the knob at the back of the backrest outward and slide the backrest up or down until your shoulders feel well supported when you lean back. Release the knob to lock it in place.

4a. Lock the tilt mechanism
Important: to lock the tilt mechanism of the HÅG Capisco, lean slightly backward while seated in the chair.

4b. Reverse seating
Want to sit on the Capisco in reverse? Lock the mechanism for extra stability. Unlock it again afterwards if you want to return to dynamic sitting.

5a. Adjust the tilt resistance
Use the adjustment knob between your legs:
Turn left = lighter resistance | Turn right = heavier resistance

5b. Set the forward tilt
First tilt the seat backwards, lock the mechanism, slide the right-hand knob backwards, and unlock the mechanism again. The seat will now tilt about 2° further forward.

6. Adjust the headrest (Capisco 8107 only)
Adjust the distance using the knob underneath. Adjust the height by sliding the headrest up or down along the rod. You are set up correctly when your head is lightly supported, without pushing your head forward.

Maintenance & safe use of your HÅG chair
Your HÅG chair will stay looking great and feeling comfortable for longer with a little care. Keep it clean: use a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and dirt from the upholstery. Never remove the covers and do not try to open the seat mechanism yourself.

Choose the right castors for your floor
- Hard wheels → for carpet
- Soft wheels → for hard floors (wood, laminate, tiles, etc.)
Always use five castors of the same type. This keeps your chair stable and ensures it rolls as intended.
